| Lowry Pueblo Ruins |
|
These ruins were originally excavated in the 1930s and later restored in the 1960's. Accessible as a self-guided trail (with wheelchair ramps), Lowry Ruin is typical medium-sized pueblo with about 40 rooms and 8 kivas. Abandoned around 1150 A.D., one of the more interesting features is the actual kiva as found when excavated by archaeologists, plaster and wooden shelves still intact. Lowry Pueblo Ruin is approximately 120 miles northwest of Bloomfield.
