| Canyon de Chelley National Monument |
| Sheltered at the base of sheer red cliffs and in canyon wall caves are Anasazi cliff dwellings and villages that were built between AD 350 and 1300. Visitors to the monument have the chance to learn about Southwestern Indian history from the earliest basket makers to the Navajo Indians who still live and farm in the canyon. Canyon de Chelley is located approx. 164 miles west-southwest of Bloomfield. |
